Worries in the Soca that is the best way to describe the Soca Monarch preliminaries so far. A host of young artistes are certainly holding their own this year with some exciting and rhythmic melodies that can certainly take them places. Although the old guard such as Tallpree, Sheldon, Inspector and even the vets such as Squeezie, Tangler, and bubbler are very much present, the young vivacious artistes have certainly captured a new wave in Soca that cannot be dismissed.

 
The interesting thing about this year’s competition is that it is well blended with a mix of the old and the dynamic new. It has certainly been a ride on the Soca bus with Tangler declaring that his Soca is an old time Soca to spontaneous ready to fly like superman and electrify and Lunisparks performing their duo act with gusto.

Tonight laSagesse playing field is the venue where the final 50 artistes will present their songs to the judges. Patrons are predicting another night of top entertainment from a host of artiste who are certainly intent on going after a place in the semi final show carded for Victoria Park when both the Soca and Calypso semis will be held over the week end of the 27-29 August 2007.

Meanwhile House of fire tent will be judge tonight in Brooklyn. The local tents are scheduled to be judge during the upcoming weeknights. It's a clear indication that Spice Mas is alive and kicking and it is indeed excitement 24/7.
