Ambitious, success oriented, talented and passionate are a few adjectives that can be used to describe Donessa Charles. During her spare time she enjoys socializing, watching sports especially basketball, and spending time with family members.

Donessa’s academic career began at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic School. She obtained her secondary education at St. Andrew’s Anglican Secondary School and tertiary education at T.A. Marryshow Community College.

Growing up Donessa was always passionate about helping people. As a community officer attached to the National HIV/AIDS Commission Secretariat, she now has the opportunity to fulfill her dreams. Her job allows her to work within communities, getting them involved in projects designed to reduce the spread of HIV and AIDS. Her involvement in these activities gives her primary knowledge of the struggles endured by persons living with the disease cementing her belief that everyone is equal and should be treated the same.
