Miss Yasha Cox

Parish Of St. Patrick

“Plan purposely, prepare prayerfully, proceed positively and pursue persistently". These words motivate 19 year old, Yasha Yamina Cox of Morne Fendue, St. Patrick.

From St. Patrick’s R.C. School to St. Joseph's Convent, Grenville, she excelled in academics and extracurricular activities which included Student Council and Young Leaders.  She was crowned S.J.C. Independence Queen in 2008.  Yasha completed her S.J.C. tenure and enrolled at St. George's University with the anticipation of studying medicine, but later found her calling in the nursing programme there.
Yasha finds fulfillment in caring for the elderly while volunteering at Richmond Hill Home for the Aged. She believes the elderly need an activist and aims to become a Legal Nurse Consultant to advocate for them.

She remains the humble individual her parents raised and is grateful for the lesson instilled that a winner is not determined by the amount of 'wins' but by persistence, despite failures.
